"To be a teacher, I believe you are responsible for not only guiding students to their goals but also strengthen their passion for music. I also believe it is a teacher's job to be honest with their students and help them be teachable." - Faw

With over 15 years of experience in saxophone and music studies, including many years of mentorship from saxophonist and composer Bobby Watson, and a bachalors degree from The Berklee College of Music where he received a full-scholarship to and learn under the mentorship and tutelage of Tia Fuller, Kenny Werner, Godwin Louis, Neal Smith, Mimi Jones. Foremost being his studies with Ralph Peterson Jr. where he performed in and wrote/arranged for his GenNext Bigband for 3.5 years until his tragic passing in March 2021, a year before Faw graduated (2022).

Morgan biggest strength as a teacher comes from his background of mentorship from many different voices and approaches to teaching music. He is considered part of the Blakey School of Music in regards to the lineage he has grown from. His roots being from Kansas City, MO gave him an advantage, to be raised by an entire community of musicians and teachers - such as Chris Burnett, Clarence Smith, Eddie Moore, Matt Otto, David Valdez, Lisa Henry, Toni Oliver, Mary Moses, and Dan Thomas to name a few - Faw developed a deep understanding of what it is to guide someone and struggle as a student and as a person.
